Couple injured during early morning burglary of their Gadsden home



A Gadsden couple was injured early this morning after confronting a burglar in their Cansler Avenue Home.   The victim told police that around 5:00 am, this morning he was awakened by  a noise in his living room, walked into that room and saw a tall black man standing there. He approached the man who cut him on the arm and stomach with a knife. The suspect also cut the victim's wife before fleeing out the front door. The victim saw a white male standing in the street in front of his house acting as a lookout. Neither victim was seriously injured. They were treated by medics at the scene. Nothing was reported stolen. The investigation is ongoing..
