Etowah High School recieves Grant

Governor Robert Bentley has awarded a nearly $50,000 grant to Etowah High School in Attalla.  The grant will assist in the development of computer and technology skills.  The grant is valuable to students seeking advanced education or employment after graduation.  .  The school system will combine the Appalachian Regional Commission grant with a $40,902 grant from U.S. Department of Education to purchase 118 new computers. The new equipment will be an important tool for the Advancing Attalla program.  The program has teachers incorporate technology into daily lessons.
