Governor Robert Bentley has awarded a nearly $50,000 grant to
Etowah High School in Attalla. The grant
will assist in the development of computer and technology skills. The grant is valuable to students seeking
advanced education or employment after graduation. . The
school system will combine the Appalachian Regional Commission grant with a
$40,902 grant from U.S. Department of Education to purchase 118 new computers.
The new equipment will be an important tool for the Advancing Attalla
program. The program has teachers
incorporate technology into daily lessons.
