Escapee recaptured

An escaped inmate was captured Wednesday after escaping a Decatur community facility, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections.
Cody Wade Snelling failed to be located during an institutional count. Snelling is classified as a community custody inmate and is allowed employment outside the facility. It was determined that Snelling failed to return from his place of employment.
Snelling is serving a two-year sentence for burglary in Calhoun County and was due to be released Nov. 15.
According to authorities, Snelling was captured later Wednesday afternoon.
