Tractor Trailer Train Collide in Albertville

A train collided with an 18-wheeler moving southbound on U.S. 431 in Albertville early this morning.   Albertville police could not give immediate details, but witnesses said it happened at the crossing between Rose Road and Alabama 75. The southbound lanes were blocked but have since reopened. The driver's injuries were reported to be serious but not life-threatening. He was transported to Boaz then to Huntsville Hospital.
