Talladega College students arrested on drug charges



Five Talladega College students were arrested for possession of marijuana in the second degree and possession of drug paraphernalia early Wednesday morning, according to Talladega Police.
The arrests came after a patrol officer went to investigate a vehicle parked at Duncan-Pinkston Park at about 3:15 a.m. Wednesday.   The officer found smoke “billowing” out of the window of the vehicle. The officer noticed an extremely strong odor of marijuana.  When the smoke cleared, the officer found two bags of marijuana and two hand-rolled cigars containing marijuana,”. They also found various pieces of drug paraphernalia, including a grinder with residue, a brown pipe with residue, and a glass water pipe.
All five of the people arrested were males, ages 18 and 19. Three were from Georgia, one was from Tennessee and one was from Ohio, and all five were listed as Talladega College students on their arrest reports.
