Two women have been charged with second-degree theft after they took pills from the home
of an Attalla man.  Investigators said a 67-year-old man reported the theft of the pills
from his apartment in a retirement home. He reluctantly told police the medication
was stolen by two women who came to the apartment to have sex in exchange for money.
While there, the women noticed the medication and one of them distracted him while the
other took the pills, which they then sold to a man to get money for methamphetamine.

31 year old Krystle Leigh Peppers,  of Gadsden, and 19 year old Cierra Brooke Blackwood,
of Gadsden, are charged with second-degree theft of a controlled substance.

Both women are pregnant and face additional felony charges for chemical endangerment
of a child after admitting to drug use and tested positive for amphetamines.
