Gadsden Murder Investigation

Gadsden police are continuing an investigation into the death of a man whose body was discovered Monday afternoon.

 71 year old Donald Richard Garrett,  of Rainbow City, was discovered in a home in the 400 block of Roslyn Drive Monday. Police said little about the incident, only that they were investigating the death.

 According to police reports, officers were called to the residence shortly after 3 p.m. with reports of a man being shot. There, they found a man in the house's front main room laying on the floor. There was no mention of where the man was wounded.

Garrett was pronounced dead on the scene.
