Albertville police have arrested a physician for allegedly
soliciting sexual acts from a patient in exchange for money and medication.
52 year old Dr. Ervin Wells, was arrested at the Jameson Inn
for solicitation of prostitution, a misdemeanor charge. According to
Albertville Police, he is a doctor at a local medical clinic.
The arrest was the result of a five-day investigation and
involved investigators from the Albertville Police Department, the Marshall
County Sheriff's Office, the Marshall County District Attorney's office and the
Alabama Board of Medical Examiners.
Wells was taken to the Marshall County Jail for processing.
