Legislature overides governors veto of Calhoun liquor tax

Calhoun County residents will pay 5 percent more at the liquor store after the Alabama Legislature overrode Gov. Robert Bentley's veto of a local tax on liquor and wine at state-run liquor stores.
House members voted 55-11 to override the veto Tuesday afternoon. The Senate later also voted to override the governors veto.
