Chase of suspect ends on Anniston golf course

Anniston police say A high-speed chase ended late Monday afternoon on the golf course of Anniston Country Club after the suspect’s vehicle experienced mechanical failure.

33 year old Johnathan Zaner, of Cleburne County, had warrants out for kidnapping when U.S. Marshals began their pursuit of him. The chase began at approximately 4:45 p.m. and ended after officers followed Zaner onto the number three and four greens at the golf course. The vehicle was then towed off of the property after officers had the suspect in custody.
