Gadsden woman charged with chemical endangerment

A Gadsden woman has been arrested for chemical endangerment of a child.
31 year old April Nicole Frier, was arrested Friday and charged with chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substances are ingested, produced or distributed, which is a felony. Investigators say that Frier admitted to taking Oxycodone and opiates while pregnant.
She is in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $5,000 cash bond. She will be supervised by Etowah County Community Corrections and must successfully complete a treatment program.
