Gadsden Police have confirmed that relatives have identified the body of
a man found in the gorge below Noccalula Falls Friday morning as Michael Woods
of Albertville, Ala. Woods was reported
missing Thursday. The cause of death is still under investigation. Etowah County Coroner Michael Head said the body was found in the gorge below
Noccalula Falls According to Head, the body was found right
under the falls around 8:30 a.m. Friday morning by a visitor in town for a car
show at the park.
