Items stolen from Gadsden Scout Troop Recovered

Gadsden police say they have recovered some items taken when a person or persons stole a Boy Scout trailer from a church parking lot.
BSA Troop 58 reported a trailer full of gear, valued at $8,000, had been stolen from the parking lot of the East Gadsden United Methodist Church, where the troop held its weekly meetings.  Police say a tip led them to the storage unit and to the gear.  Gadsden police detective Capt. Paul Cody.said that maybe three quarters of the stolen items have been recovered.  Among the recovered items were a stolen, tents, first aid equipment and an old trunk, with stickers, decals and writing identifying Troop 58.  Cody said police are looking for the man who is listed as the renter of that storage unit and plan to question him. Whoever stole the gear could face a felony charge of theft first degree.
