Man arrested in Anniston Murder

Lonnie Spinks

Police have charged 32-year-old Lonnie Spinks of Hobson City with Capital Murder. He's accused of shooting 55-year-old Marlin Jones of Anniston to death.    Police say the incident happened late Wednesday  night after an argument between some people at a home in the 3500 block of West 14th Street.   They say Jones and two other people were driving away when someone began shooting into the vehicle. Jones was struck in the lower back.  He was driven to RMC where he was pronounced dead.  After questioning several people at the scene, investigators arrested and charged Spinks.
