Alexiandria man dies in Sunday crash



A 27 year old  Calhoun county man died after his vehicle overturned near Alexandria Sunday morning.
According to a report from the Alabama State Trooper Post in Jacksonville, Casey Jordan Doss, of Alexandria died in a single-vehicle crash at 6:20 a.m. Sunday on Alexandria-Wellington Highway, 3 miles north of Alexandria.
 The report states that Doss was killed when the 2006 Ford Mustang he was driving left the roadway and overturned. Doss, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
Calhoun County Coroner Pat Brown said Doss’ girlfriend was following behind, witnessed the accident and told troopers Doss’ car was traveling at around 70 mph when it left the roadway. Brown said he is awaiting a toxicology report on Doss.
