Scottsboro teacher arrested for sexual misconduct with student

A 26 year old teacher at Scottsboro High School has been accused of sexual misconduct with a student.

Scottsboro police arrested Kandace Christopher on Monday. She was charged with one felony count of a school employee engaging in a sex act with a student under the age of 19 and one misdemeanor count of a school employee having sexual contact with a student under the age of 19.

Christopher made her $16,000 bond not long after her arrest.

The school's website lists Christopher as a world history teacher and a softball and basketball coach. Her current status with the school is not clear.
