Boaz woman arrested for threatening school employee

A Boaz woman has been arrested on a felony charge for allegedly threatening an Etowah County school employee on social media.
39 year old Barbara Beth Bowen,  was arrested Thursday night on a charge of terrorist threat for allegedly posting a threatening statement toward a county school faculty member online. The resource deputy assigned to the employee's school was notified of the alleged threat and within hours, Bowen was questioned and eventually booked into the county detention center after admitting to making the threat, according to the sheriff's office.
Bowen has since been released from jail on a $2,500 property bond. It's unknown at this time if she has an attorney.
