Etowah deputy injured in crash

An Etowah County deputy was one of three people reportedly injured Tuesday afternoon in a collision on Cleveland Avenue in Gadsden.  Sheriff Todd Entrekin said deputy Blake Perry was making a transport and was stopped on Cleveland Avenue at the Interstate 59 on-ramp when another vehicle collided with his patrol car.  Chief Deputy Michael Barton said one of the people from the other vehicle was flown from the scene, but it was because of a pre-existing condition rather than wreck injuries.
Another person from that vehicle was taken to a hospital for treatment, as was Perry.
