A 22 year old Hokes Bluff man was arrested Monday and
charged in connection to sexual abuse of a 14-year-old victim,.
Skylar Greyson Copeland, is charged with one count of
second-degree rape and one count of second-degree sodomy, both felonies. Investigators said Copeland allegedly had sex
with a 14-year-old female and admitted to investigators that the incident took
place at a Hokes Bluff residence in May. The two met on a social media website.
The incident was reported by a family member of the victim. Copeland is in the Etowah County Detention
Center on $20,000 cash bond.
