Suspect sought after encounter with Munford police captured in Anniston

Authorities report A man wanted by police who was also in an officer-involved shooting on Monday has been arrested.  47 year old Phillip Hugh Jacks,  was arrested by Anniston police Tuesday.  The Oxford resident fled in a truck after being shot at by police in a Jack’s parking lot in Munford on Monday. After crashing on Priebes Mill Road, he fled into a wooded area. The shooting occurred around 11:51 a.m. Monday morning and no one was injured.  The ALEA's State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the shooting.  Jacks had an outstanding felony warrant and was driving a truck reported stolen in Gulf Shores.
