Double Homocide in Blount County

Blount County sheriff's deputies are investigating the double homicide of a man and woman found dead in a home near Locust Fork on Tuesday. The bodies were found inside a house on Deavers Town Road.  Sheriff Loyd Arrington said they received a call at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday from friends of the victims. Arrington said "They had not been able to get in touch with them for the past couple of days and just out of concern they came and went in the home and found them.   Sheriff Arrington does not believe the victims were dead in the home for more than 24 hours. The deceased people are believed to be 30 to 40 years old. Their relationship is unknown at this time.  The sheriff would not comment on if there was any indication of a struggle or if any weapons were left at the scene.

The coroner has removed the bodies from the scene.
