The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Tuesday
announced Alabama health centers will receive $9.3 million in Affordable Care
Act funds.
Those funds will extend services to 11,164 new patients in
Alabama.
The Quality of Life Health Services in Gadsden will receive $1,000,000.00 in funds.
In additon, Quality of Life will receive $483,756 in funds from the Alabama FY2015 Expanded Services Awards
HHS Secretary Sylvia M. Burwell announced nearly $500
million in funds from Affordable Care Act -- commonly known as Obamacare
-- to support health centers nationwide.
