Oxford police have arrested a 17-year-old in connection with
a "terroristic threat" that prompted a lockdown at Oxford High School
Sept. 18. Chief Bill Partridge announced
the arrest, which occurred Monday. Police released no other details about the
person arrested.
Partridge stated. "With forensic evidence investigators
were able to identify the offender."
Officers were called to the school at 9:55 a.m. Sept 18 when school
administrators discovered an anonymous note on a bathroom floor stating there
would be a shooting that day. As a precaution, the school was locked down and a
search was conducted using K-9 units.
After the school was cleared, the note was taken for
forensic examination.
