Talladega residents will return to the polls Tuesday to
elect candidates for City Council and city Board of Education for Ward 3.
The office of mayor and all other council and school board
seats were filled in the general election in August.
Since only residents of Ward 3 will be voting Tuesday, the
Spring Street Recreation Center will be the only polling place open. Under
state law, people can cast their ballots there between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on
election day.
Jake Montgomery and Katrina Thomas will be vying for the
Ward 3 Board of Education seat, which is open following the retirement of
Bonnie Miller.
In the City Council race, incumbent Donnie Miller will face
off against challenger David Street.
