Centre man enters pretrial diversion after guilty plea in theft case



A 38 year old Centre man has entered Pretrial Diversion after pleading guilty to a felony theft charge in January.  Matthew Wayne St. John, entered his guilty plea Jan. 13 to first-degree theft by deception. He was ordered to pay Kevin Thrasher of Hokes Bluff, $37,808.98 in restitution, as well as court costs and fees.  As part of his plea agreement, St. John entered the Pretrial Diversion program, which is operated through Community Corrections.
