Events Rescheduled

Because of school closures, all but two local girls basketball sub-regionals have been pushed back until at least Friday. Faith Christian coach Bradley Dawson said this afternoon the Lions are still set to play at Skyline on this evening at 7 p.m. Also, Spring Garden girls coach Ricky Austin said his team still is set to play Jefferson Christian at 7 p.m. Friday.  White Plains’ home game against Ashville will be Saturday at 7 p.m,. Anniston girls coach and athletics director Eddie Bullock said his team will play Friday and possibly host the boys sub-regional game that night, too. Both the Anniston girls and boys are set to host sub-regional contests. Bullock said no tip-off time has been set.  Ranburne coach Tim Smith said the Bulldogs will play on the road against Lanett on Friday at 6 p.m., while Jacksonville coach Ryan Chambless said his team will host Munford on Friday at 7 p.m.  Woodland has postponed its home game against LaFayette, but Bobcats coach Larry Strain said it's uncertain when it will be replayed. Saks coach Michelle Lively said the Wildcats' sub-regional game at Glencoe will be rescheduled for Friday at 6 p.m.
