Gadsden police seeking credit card thief



Gadsden Police are looking for a man who broke into a car in December, then used the credit card he stole to go on a shopping spree.
According to police,  an elderly couple’s car was broken into Dec. 18 at the Cracker Barrel on Alabama Highway 77, and the woman’s credit card was stolen from her purse. The suspect took the card and headed to Walmart in East Gadsden where He purchased $2,100 in Walmart gift cards then went to the Attalla Walmart and bought electronics such as iPads and a TV with the cards. Police said all the money was used from the cards within two hours after the card was stolen.
