School bus involved in accident

Etowah county schools transportation officials say A car lost control and hit an Etowah County school bus Wednesday morning on Alabama Highway 211.   The two people in the car were injured and taken to a hospital, but no children on the bus were injured. Officials said each of the 19 students was checked out by a paramedic before boarding a second bus and continuing on to Etowah Middle School. Officials said the car hit the bus’ rear axle and the bus went into a ditch. The mishap caused considerable damage to the bus, which had to be towed away. The bus driver saw the car losing control about 100 yards ahead of him and was able to stop the bus before the accident.
