Calhoun County deputies are investigating a report of
stalking from a Jacksonville woman who said she received several threatening
text messages and had a man she didn’t know pull into her driveway.
The 40-year-old victim had been at her home on Angel Drive
South when she received threatening text messages from various phone numbers,.
The messages told the victim that the suspect knew where she
was and that she was being watched. The victim’s 44-year-old boyfriend, who was
not with the victim at the time, said he also received several threatening
messages regarding the victim.
Some time later a white four-door truck pulled into the
victim’s driveway. The victim’s neighbor confronted the driver when he did not
leave the car, and the driver told the neighbor he was checking on their cable
lines. After the confrontation, the man in the truck drove away. Deputies were working to develop a suspect
Wednesday, saying that a name had been
discovered in some of the text messages.
