Talladega Shooting

Talladega Police are investigating a shooting Tuesday night that injured a 9-year-old boy.  Investigators say the shooting took place at about 9 p.m. on Howard Street. The victim was sitting in a car parked in the front yard of a residence. Police say the child was struck in the leg by what appeared to be a shot from a small caliber handgun. He was transported to the emergency room of Citizens Baptist Medical Center to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. There was no one else inside the car with the victim, and no one else was hit. Evidence was that more than one shot was fired.
