
Calhoun County investigators are saying a recent fire at an
Ohatchee home may have been the result of arson.
The fire occurred at a home Grayton Road
South No one was injured in the blaze.
Investigators said the 48-year-old homeowner had been at his neighbor’s
house when his daughter told him his house was on fire.
The victim was able to safely put the fire
out with a hose before firefighters and deputies arrived.
During the investigation, firefighters
discovered an accelerant was used to start the fire which resulted in $800
worth of damage to the home. No suspect had been identified as of Wednesday.
