Gadsden Robbery

Gadsden police are investigating the reported robbery of a woman who reported she was robbed of a business bank deposit after someone intentionally rear-ended her vehicle Sunday morning on 25th Street at Sansom Avenue.
The woman reported she was taking a bank deposit from a business on West Meighan Boulevard to the bank when a car bumped her from behind near the intersection of 25th Street and Sansom Avenue.
She thought at the time that the vehicle intentionally struck hers, so she pulled onto Sansom Avenue before she stopped her vehicle. She pulled over in the 2500 block of Sansom and unlocked her door to get out. When she stopped, a skinny white male grabbed the passenger door, opened it and grabbed the plastic bag containing the store’s bank deposit. She grabbed the bag too, and they struggled over it. The man punched her several times in the face, scratched her arms and ripped her watch and bracelet off her arm.
The bag ripped open during the struggle and the suspect grabbed some of the money and ran back to the waiting car, got in with another man and they drove off.
The suspect was described as a slim white male, 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 130 to 140 pounds, with brown hair and stubbly facial hair.
The vehicle involved in the robbery was a blueish-green car, possibly a Corolla or Tercel, with faded paint on the hood and roof.
