A Southside High School student and member of The Pride of
Southside marching band was killed in a two-vehicle crash at U.S. Highway 278
and Alabama Highway 179 Friday night.
18 year old Will Freeman,
was pronounced dead at the scene.
Freeman was traveling on Alabama 179 when his vehicle
collided with an SUV on U.S. 278. The driver of the SUV was not seriously
injured in the accident.
Freeman was wearing his seat belt but was ejected from the
vehicle.
