Talladega man arrested on prescription fraud charges

A Talladega man is being held on a  $50,000 bond on a charge of attempting to commit a controlled substance crime.
23 year old Thike Maleek Jackson, is accused of trying to fill a phony prescription for 90 Oxycodone tablets at the Talladega Walgreen’s on Thursday afternoon.
The pharmacist recognized the prescription as fake and called police.
Police say that the bogus prescription was written on a pad stolen from University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital.
