Three Gadsden residents arrested in Cherokee county on drug charges

Three Gadsden residents are being held in the Cherokee county detention center after being arrested Saturday afternoon after they allegedly tried to elude a Cherokee County deputy.
The Deputy observed a vehicle speeding on County Road 32. He tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver tried to flee, lost control and ran into a ditch. An occupant was seen throwing a container out of the vehicle before it came to rest in a yard at the intersection of County Road 32 and 19.
39 year old Nickey Adrian Jenkins, 34 year old Crystal June Terry,  and 27 year old Jonathan Michael Jackson,  were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, attempting to elude a police officer and tampering with physical evidence.

The three were transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center, where they remain awaiting a bond hearing. The case remains under investigation.
