Anniston police are investigating a report from An Oxford
woman who said a man forced her to drive around at gunpoint Wednesday and
sexually assaulted her.
The woman told police that at around 3 a.m. on Oct. 22,
while driving in the area of 18th Street and Cobb Avenue, a man whom she didn’t
know jumped into her car.
The man pulled a gun and forced her to drive around the area
for about an hour and sexually assaulted
her.
The 23-year-old woman was treated at a local hospital after
the incident.
A police report lists the incident as first-degree rape and
first-degree kidnapping. Police say
their investigation is ongoing.
