A Calhoun County Jury deliberated just three hours Friday
before finding 38 year old Patrick Jason Norris of Anniston guilty in
connection with the 2012 kidnapping of two women, and the robbery and shooting
of one of them.
The Jury found Norris guilty of two counts of first-degree
kidnapping and guilty of one count of first-degree robbery.
Norris, was arrested Nov. 17, 2012, charged with two counts
of kidnapping and one count each of robbery, rape and attempted murder. His
trial on the kidnapping and robbery charges began in Calhoun County on Tuesday.
He is to be tried later on the other charges in Clay County, where those crimes
allegedly took place.
Norris’ defense team still stands by their position that he
is not guilty, and will look closely at the trial to determine what they might
appeal.
Sentencing for the crimes of which he was found guilty
Friday is to take place Nov. 25 at 9 a.m.
