There is a big announcement Tuesday from a nonprofit which operates the Big Oak Boys and Girls Ranches
Former All-American University of Alabama football star John Croyle started the organization in 1974. He says now his children, Reagan Croyle Phillips and his son, former UA Quarterback and NFL Player Brodie Croyle, will take over day-to-day operations.
Nearly 2,000 children from at-risk backgrounds have called the ranch home. The three facilities include the Big Oak Boys Ranch in Gadsden, the Big Oak Girls Ranch in Springville and the Westbrook Christian School in Rainbow City.
