A Texas real estate company has been named by a Calhoun
County judge to oversee Oxford’s
Quintard Mall, which went into foreclosure earlier this month.
Frederick Meno, president and CEO of asset services at the
Woodmont Company, said how long his firm will operate Quintard Mall depends
upon negotiations between the mall’s owners and their lender. He added that his
company has no interest in buying the property.
The mall is owned by, Grimmer Realty of Homewood.
Meno called Quintard a fundamentally sound property and
commended the owners and management for maintaining a 90 percent occupancy
rate.
Meno said he visited Quintard Mall on Monday and Tuesday.
He said his company is still developing plans for the property, but some ideas
included upgrading the signs and parking lot.
He also said he hopes to fill three vacancies in the food
court.
Tenants of the Quintard Mall recently received a letter
explaining the change.
