State police in northeastern Pennsylvania say authorities in
Alabama have found a body believed to be that of a man being sought in the
murder of his girlfriend.
Police in Luzerne County had issued an arrest warrant for
53-year-old Randy Herman after 50-year-old Gail Monahan's body was found in
their Hanover Township home in February.
Troopers said Monday that ATV riders found Herman's pickup
truck on April 12 in a wooded area inMarshall County.
Police said a man's body was found along with two handguns
missing from the couple's home and a wallet containing Monahan's ID.
Officials said the man died of a gunshot wound to the head.
They said more tests are needed for a positive identification, but they believe
it is the body of Herman.
