Two people have died following a two-vehicle wreck in
Blountsville on Monday, according to Trooper Chuck Daniel.
The wreck happened before 11 a.m. on County Road 47, west of
Blountsville. Emergency responders say three children were taken to Children's
of Alabama. Two were taken by ambulance and one was airlifted. Troopers have
not released updated conditions on the children.
Trooper Curtis Summerville says 19 year old Erin Elizabeth
Drake, of Oneonta was killed when her
vehicle collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 24 year old Stevie Ann
Thompson, of Blountsville. Troopers say
Thompson was not wearing a seat belt and both victims were pronounced dead at
the scene.
Troopers continue to investigate the wreck.
