A Calhoun County judge has denied bond for two people
charged with capital murder in the last weeks stabbing death of an 89-year-old
Wellborn woman. Alma Fleming was found
by her son Wednesday morning in her South Stebbins street home. Calhoun county coroner Pat Brown said the 89
year old Flemming had been stabbed multiple times in the chest and he believed
the murder occurred Monday night. 32
year old Walter Craig Pinkston, and 30
year old Monica Marie Shively, both of
Anniston, have been charged with capitol murder during the commission of a
robbery alleging the pair stabbed Fleming while trying to take money from
her. District Court Judge Beth Rogers has
ordered that Pinkston and Shively be held without bond.
