Etowah murder trial deliberations expected today

An Etowah county jury is expected to begin deliberations today in the murder trial of a Hokes Bluff woman charged in the July 2010 murder of her husband.  Carlotta Susann Kutschenreuter testified that she doesn't remember events the night her husband David was shot three times in the head as he slept.  The woman is claiming that she does not remember anything about her husband’s death and that her husband was abusive and domineering, forcing her to get an abortion shortly after they married and raping and sodomizing her repeatedly throughout the marriage. Friday a psychiatrist testified he believed Kutschenreuter suffered from PTSD for the past 20 to 30 years as a result of her husbands abuse.  The defense rested its case Thursday and closing arguments are expected to begin today.
