Two arrested in Gadsden auto burglaries

Police have arrested Two Gadsden residents on fraud charges for allegedly stealing credit cards and checkbooks from vehicles and using them to go on a shopping spree. 28 year old Andrea Farmer,  and 21 year old Daledelandis Taylor, were charged with credit card fraud and forgery. The pair allegedly broke into four cars, stealing at least two credit cards and four checkbooks, running up $5,000 on one of the cards and forging $900 in checks.  All the cars were broken into Tuesday and all the items were bought from Walmart, Belk and possibly another store within 24 hours of the theft. Farmer and Taylor allegedly used the cards to buy an LG TV, an Xbox 360, Polo clothing, underwear, baby clothing and many other items.  Lt. Mike Moon said the investigation eventually led to the couple’s residence. When police arrived, Farmer and Taylor did not answer the door. Officers creating a perimeter found one of the victim’s driver’s licenses on the back porch. Police came back with a search warrant and found all the property during the search.
