Body found in lake Weiss identified as missing Cedar Bluff Man

Authorities in Cherokee County say a body found in Weiss Lake over the weekend has been identified as that of a man who’s been missing since February.  Cedar Bluff police said forensics officials have identified the dead man as 31-year-old Michael Adam Maddox.  Maddox was last seen Feb. 16 in a campground in Cedar Bluff. The body was found Sunday afternoon in the water near the campground.

Police said they haven’t determined the cause of death.
