Alabama state troopers have charged A 25 year old Boaz man
in connection with a Monday night crash that killed a 24-year-old woman. Brandon Roach, was booked into the Etowah
County Detention Center on a murder charge for the death of Joanie Amanda
Patterson, who died in a single-vehicle crash near Attalla Monday night. Roach, who suffered serious injuries in the
accident, had reportedly been drinking alcohol prior to crashing his vehicle
into an embankment off of Sand Valley Road. Neither Roach or Patterson were
wearing seatbelts. Roach's bond has been
set at $50,000.
