Authorities have charged four people with drug charges after
executing a search warrant at a home in Hollis Crossroads in Cleburne
County. 40 year old Christian Marie Parrish, and 29 year old Carolyn Jewel Wright, both of
Heflin, were charged with two counts of felony possession of a controlled
substance, and misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana and possession of
drug paraphernalia, including pipes, scales and rolling papers. 47 year old Richie Scott Marks, of Heflin was
charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor
possession of marijuana and felony possession of drug paraphernalia including a
can of Coleman fuel and a bag of fertilizer. The fertilizer and fuel can be
used in the production of methamphetamine, leading to the felony charge. In addition, 69 year old William Roy Marks,
of Carrollton, Ga., was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug
paraphernalia. The senior Marks, Richie Scott Marks’ father, was visiting the
home. The officers had obtained a search
warrant based on information they had received that drugs were being sold at
the location on U.S. 431. From the items found in the home, the officers
believe the residents were making methamphetamine.
