A Friday crash claimed the life of a Wellington man sending
two other people to the hospital.. 78
year old J.D. Hudson, was pronounced
dead at Regional Medical Center at 11:35 a.m. Friday morning from what coroner
Pat Brown said was blunt force
trauma. Alabama state troopers say that
78 year old Gerald Love, of Alexandria,
and 50 year old Kevin Hudson, of Wellington, were injured in the crash and
taken to RMC for treatment. The crash
occurred at approximately near 10 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. 431 and
Gladden Lane East. J.D. Hudson was the passenger of a 1996 maroon Buick while
Kevin Hudson was the driver. The Buick collided head-on into the right side of
a white, 1995 Chevrolet pick-up truck driven by Love. Troopers are still investigating the cause of
the accident.
