Two Albertville men have been arrested and more than $15,000
in stolen items have been recovered by Marshall county deputies. Deputies on Monday morning recovered tools
stolen in a Boaz area burglary and found methamphetamine at a residence on Wren
Drive. Desi Lopez was arrested at that location. His arrest led deputies to the Microtel Inn
in Albertville, where more property was recovered from the Boaz burglary, along
with a 1994 Chevrolet truck stolen from the Boaz area. Deputies arrested Bradley Whitehead at that
location. The investigation continued into the overnight hours with the recovery
of more property. A new theft victim was identified from Albertville and his
property — clothing items and golf clubs — was located and recovered. Lopez and
Whitehead are in the Marshall County Jail on felony drug charges, and more
charges relating to the stolen property are expected to be filed.
